Working in photography has been a ticket, a passport to people and places beyond wild imagination. Twenty years down the road, I have established my way of interpreting the world: to create images that provide opportunity to pause, reflect and consider. While documenting the brief. The journey.
A great image has its own soul: it represents a truth as much as it reflects a reality. Finding the essence of character- whether it be sand, rock or human- requires observation, contemplation and previsualisation.
Whether a commission by Charles Jourdan for fashion shoot that launched Tres Jourdan to 17 countries, or a poster for Quicksilver that had me down-climbing an ice wall for the best angle, the image is
conceived before the camera is raised. Premeditating the shot is the key to my style, and ultimately, the best shots speak for themselves.. |
